On moving to Castlemaine six years ago, I started collecting and recycling metal objects, mainly from my family farm on the Moolort Plains, where I grew up.
The rusty fencing wire was a successful medium for the fabrication of woven baskets, and the found rusted items could be incorporated into the structures.
I have always enjoyed knitting and weaving with natural fibres and extending these techniques into metal forms allows me to blend this interest with my love of landscape gardening. Gather 2025 was my first exhibition.
