Still Life #1 – with Cuckoo, 2026
I had an idea for a series featuring different vases and flowers to use up some heavy wool fabric – it looks like the series will include birds too!
Chameleons and Peppervine, 2020
Adapted from a 16th-century Portuguese manuscript. I added the chameleons because I have loved them since I spotted years ago in Africa.
Washing the World, 2025
Inspired by Paul Celan’s poem, Once.
Once,
I heard him,
he was washing the world,
unseen, nightlong,
real.
One and infinite,
annihilated,
they I’ed.
Light was. Salvation.
The Angel on the Sun, 2020
Adapted from a 10th-century Spanish manuscript. The birds don’t look impressed.
